Justin Carney has been fined £300 and banned for two games by the RFL independent disciplinary panel.

This follows an incident in the 69th minute of Castleford Tigers‘ weekend clash with London Broncos.

Carney pleaded guilty to the charge of making a Grade B dangerous throw.

The winger’s Castleford team-mate Weller Hauraki has also had his appeal against a two-game ban for striking with his knees dismissed.

Both players will miss the Challenge Cup semi-final clash with Widnes, on Sunday at Leigh Sports Village.
