Catalans Dragons have confirmed the departures of Todd Carney and Dave Taylor from the club.

Catalans said in a statement: “Todd Carney, Morgan Escaré and Dave Taylor have been released from the remainder of their contract by mutual agreement.

“The club can also confirm that Head of Strength and Conditioning Fred Marcerou, his assistant Benoit Albert and Football Manager Sébastien Raguin have also left the club to give a new orientation to their respective career.

“The club would like to wish them all the best for the future.”

Taylor is trialing with the Canberra Raiders while Carney is trying to secure a return to the NRL. The stand-off has been linked to a move to St Helens.

Escare has already signed a contract with Wigan.
