Carlile: There’s no pressure on us

Featherstone’s Keal Carlile believes Rovers can go into Friday’s Challenge Cup tie against Leeds with no pressure on their shoulders.

The 27-year-old admits Fev are big underdogs as they bid to secure a dream semi-final berth, but the former Super League player insists an upset is possible.

“This is an exciting week for the club and we are working hard to ensure we are ready for Friday night,” said Karlile.

“There is no pressure on us, it is all on Leeds. We are the underdogs and nobody is expecting us to win.

“It is eighty minutes of rugby and there have been more freak things happen in the Challenge Cup than us beating Leeds.

“If we play well, from one to 17, we know we could pull off a massive result. It will be a phenomenal occasion, that goes without saying, one we are very much looking forward to.

“Anything can happen and we are going into the game with plenty of confidence.”
