Hull KR hooker Keal Carlile has signed a new two-year deal at Craven Park.
Carlile, 23, joined the Robins from Huddersfield ahead of the 2012 season, and was out of contract at the end of the year
He said: “I’m over the moon. Getting my future sorted is great and I really like what Sandy (Craig Sandercock) is doing here. My aim is to kick on next season and keep improving and I’m sure the team will do the same.
“I did have a couple of other options away from here but I’m really happy at Hull KR and am looking to become a better player under Sandy and the rest of the coaching staff. Being here for the next two years is what I wanted and I’m just delighted that it’s all done now.
“I’m only 23 and am learning every day. By the time I reach the end of this contract I’ll be more experienced and hopefully will have improved as a player. There is competition for places within the squad and you need that to push you along. I’ve had that this season with Josh (Hodgson) and Lincoln (Withers) and it keeps you on your toes.”
