Dane Carlaw has opted to rejoin Brisbane, after successfully gaining a release from Catalans Dragons.

Carlaw, 29, who left the Broncos at the end of the 2007 season, has signed a one-year deal and is expected to start training with the squad before Christmas.

The Queensland and Australia forward won NRL titles with Brisbane in 2000 and 2006 and two World Club Challenge matches.

Carlaw will return from France with his wife Lise and young son Remy and will be allied to Broncos’ affiliate club Wynnum Seagulls.
