Canberra Raiders confirm signing of Matt Frawley

Canberra Raiders have signed playmaker Matt Frawley on a one-year deal from Huddersfield.

The 24-year-old spent a season in Super League with the Giants in 2019, making 20 appearances.

But Frawley was released from his contract with Huddersfield earlier this month due to the club signing Aidan Sezer on a marquee contract from the Raiders.

Frawley said: “It’s great to be back home and I guess you can say I’ve come full circle since playing my junior footy here.

“I’m looking forward to having the chance to train really hard this pre-season and hopefully get an opportunity to get back in to the NRL.”

Frawley joins Darby Medlyn, Andrew Niko, Jarrett Subloo and Kai O’Donnell as a Canberra development squad player.
