Campbell to miss play-off semi-final

Batley’s Johnny Campbell has been suspended for one match and will miss his side’s Kingstone Press Championship play-off fixture against Featherstone on Sunday September 22.

Campbell, 24, received his ban after he submitted an Early Guilty Plea in relation to a Grade B offence committed against Leigh during their play-off fixture last weekend.

The offence relates to the former Salford academy winger illegally putting an end to a last-minute break from Centurions winger Adam Higson, with a high tackle that left both players requiring treatment.

Campbell has scored nine tries in 25 Bulldogs appearances so far this season.
