Campaign to get Premier Sports on Virgin Media

James Gordon

Halifax are heading a campaign to make the Premier Sports TV channel available on Virgin Media.

Premier Sports has the rights to show 32 live Championship games in 2012, adding to their NRL coverage which they have broadcast for the past two seasons.

But the subscription channel is currently only available to SKY customers, and now fans are lobbying Virgin Media to take the channel on and make it available on their service.

A campaign message read: “With the season now so close we’re continuing our push for people to sign up for Premier Sports, but so far many comments have been made about the package not available on Virgin Media. So we’re starting a campaign to get added to the media platform, and you can help by posting on their social media and sending them emails.”

Details of the campaign message can be found below:

Key points:

–  Rugby League fans have missed out on the NRL for the last 2 year and now with Premier Sports picking up the Championship Rugby League coverage they won’t be able to view 32 live Rugby League games from England not to mention all the NRL.

–  As a Rugby League fan, if Premier don’t get onto Virgin I am going to move everything to Sky.
