Callum Marriott signs new Rochdale deal

Rochdale have announced that Callum Marriott has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club for the 2020 campaign.

The forward joined the Betfred League 1 side from Rochdale Mayfield in May and went on to score three times in 15 appearances.

The 26-year-old BARLA international will remain with the Hornets as they bid to secure an immediate return to the Betfred Championship.

On the contract news, Marriott said: “I am glad to be back training with the boys and some fresh faces. I can’t wait to get stuck into the season.”

Head coach Matt Calland added: “Callum was one of our best forwards last season. You know what you get every game from Callum. He gives 100% effort and is a very tough, unassuming player.”
