Cahill ruled out with ankle injury

Widnes forward Hep Cahill is facing two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Cahill, 26, hobbled off towards the end of Sunday’s 58-24 win over Salford at the Stobart Stadium.

Vikings coach Denis Betts also has doubts over the fitness of back-rowers Dave Allen and Gareth Hock ahead of Saturday’s trip to Castleford.

Kiwi Cahill, who played for Melbourne Storm in their 2010 World Club Challenge win over Leeds, made 25 appearances for the Vikings last season after joining from Crusaders.
