Burrow wary of in-form Castleford

Rob Burrow has praised Castleford’s ability to win games while their squad is being affected by injury, something which Leeds have struggled to do this season.

The Rhinos are currently bottom of the Super League table, having endured a miserable campaign so far, and face Cas at Headingley on Thursday evening.

“Cas are a great side and they did really well at the weekend with some halves who don’t usually play there,” said the veteran pivot.

“They’re winning with injuries and we’re not.”

Leeds were knocked out of the Challenge Cup last week by Huddersfield, which Burrow thinks may have a positive impact on their league campaign.

“The Cup is a real distraction,” he added.

“We’ve enjoyed being involved with that and we’d love to have been there again this year but we’ve got to forget about that now and we need to put all our eggs in the one basket and climb up the league and get into that top eight.

“We say it every week that we need to do it quick because the games are running out.”
