Burrow ruled out of Four Nations

Rob Burrow, winner of the Harry Sunderland Trophy in Leeds’ Grand Final Victory, has been ruled out of the Gillette Four Nations due to a rib injury.

Burrow, who was influential in Leeds’ triumph over St Helens on Saturday, was picked unanimously by the press as the man of the match, something that has never happened before.

After such a performance, coupled with Burrow’s form of late, many called for the pint-sized super sub to be called up to the England squad for the Four Nations.

However it was revealed this morning that Burrow had sustained a rib injury in the Grand Final victory and would therefore take no place in the Gillette Four Nations tournament.

The 24-man England squad for the tournament has been named and can be viewed here
