Burns set to move to Saints for 100k

Travis Burns has agreed a deal to join St Helens, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

The highly rated Australian stand-off will apparently cost the Saints £100,000, a similar fee to that paid to Rovers for Blake Green by Wigan two years ago.

The reports maintain that the player has signed a three-year deal.

Rovers are now searching for a replacement, with chief executive Mike Smith in Australia on a recruitment drive.

The departure of Burns would open up another place on the overseas quota for Rovers.
