Burgess eyes Four Nations

Sam Burgess wants to take his best form into the Four Nations as he makes his return to the England team after a three year absence.

Burgess last played for England in the 2013 World Cup, and with South Sydney‘s disappointing NRL campaign petering out, he has the chance to salvage something at the end of the season in the international stage.

“I don’t have the finals to look at — I know it (the Four Nations) is there,” he told AAP.

“So I just want to play some good footy and keep some form and take it into the Four Nations.”

The pressure has been on Burgess in the NRL this year since his return from rugby union.

“My game has certainly improved this year as the year has gone on,” he said.

“I have been under the microscope this year a bit more. But I have enjoyed the challenge of crossing back and I am feeling comfortable now.”
