South Sydney hardman Sam Burgess will return to face Melbourne on Sunday after missing last weekend’s clash with Wests Tigers due to suspension.

Burgess missed the Rabbitoh’s heart-stopping 34-30 golden point win over the Tigers for a grapple tackle on the Bulldogs’ Ben Barba in the previous round.

Souths also welcome back Beau Champion and Colin Best from injury and suspension respectively while hat-trick hero against the Tigers Dylan Farrell heads to the bench.

However they will be without playmaker John Sutton at five-eighth for the clash at AAMI Park.

Sutton suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Tigers clash and will be replaced by Luke Capewell.

Michael Crocker also returns to the side.

The Rabbitohs must get a result against the Storm to stand any chance of making the NRL finals after stumbling to two defeats in their last four matches.

The game will mark a 200th NRL appearace for fullback Rhys Wesser, who made his debut in the competition for Penrith in 1998.
