Bulls starlet signs new deal

Bradford have handed a new three-year contract to their England academy hooker Adam O’Brien.

O’Brien, who signed from Halifax amateurs Siddal last January, has featured for both the Bulls academy and Under 20 sides and made his England academy debut against France in May.

He said: “I was really happy to sign this new contract because I really enjoy it at Bradford. When I signed for the club, a few other clubs had been asking me to go to them and made good offers. But they weren’t a family club like Bradford; they didn’t have the same feel.

“Bradford welcomed me and my family and made me feel at home. Any promises they made when I joined the club have come true and they have always been honest with me.”

Bulls Head of Youth Paul Medley added: “Adam has worked very hard since he came to the club and he has made great strides in his drive to be a professional player.  His attitude is first class and he developed both physically and skills wise in his time at the club and the good thing from out point is that he really sees his future at the club and wants to play for the Bulls.”
