Bulls Off To Winning Start

The newly-promoted Rams did themselves credit with a competitive first half that saw tries for Josh Weeden and Andrew Bostock; Bradford replying through Ian Henderson, Ben Harris and George Flanagan.

Luke Helliwell kicked all three conversions for the Bulls with Ryan Glynn adding one goal for the home side, leaving the half-time score at 18-10.

The enagage Super League side made their advantage count after the interval, wrapping up the win with tries from Larne Patrick and Alex Szostak.

Meanwhile, Leeds Rhinos lifted the Lazenby cup for the first time since 2004 with a 77th-minute Lee Smith try capping a hard-fought 12-8 win over National League Two side Hunslet Hawks.
