Warrington Head Coach Steve Price has confirmed that Bryson Goodwin is set to miss up to two weeks with an ankle injury, with Ryan Atkins expected to start in his place against Wigan this Friday.

The 33-year old was forced to leave the field in the first-half of the Wolves’ victory over Castleford Tigers last Thursday.

Ahead of their self-proclaimed ‘Bad Blood’ meeting with the Warriors this weekend, Price said that he was looking forward to a physical contest and right some wrongs following last year’s Grand Final heartbreak.

“It will be a brutal game – I expect nothing less,” he said. “We will go hard for 80 minutes but then shake hands at full time. We have a game built on respect and that’s what makes our sport great.”

“The Grand Final defeat sticks with me and there’s a burning desire to go one step further this year. We’re a different team this year and one I’m proud to coach.

“Wigan haven’t been great this year but we will be ready. Hopefully we can put on a good display.”
