Utility-back Lewis Brown has signed a new two-year deal with Whitehaven.

Brown made nine appearances in chocolate, blue and gold in 2017 after initially signing on loan from Super League outfit Salford Red Devils.

He then made his move permanent in April and has put in some tough performances at the back end of the League 1 season.

And Brown is excited about how Haven can help develop him further.

He said: “I’m glad to have signed back on and I’m looking forward to learning more and developing more skills playing in this league.”

Whitehaven head coach Carl Forster is also pleased to have secured Brown’s services for 2018.

Forster said: “It’s great to get him on a two-year deal.

“He’s young and keen and I thought he had a great first season with us. He will only get better with more training and game time so we’re excited to see how far he will go.”
