Brown rubbishes St Helens rumours

Widnes playmaker Kevin Brown has denied reports that he is set to join St Helens next year.

Writing in yesterday’s club program, Brown said he will be staying with the Vikings in 2017.

“I think this is the right time to put to bed the recent rumours about my future.

“I am a Widnes Vikings player, Denis Betts gave me a contract until the end of 2018 and I am totally committed to it.

“As flattered as I am to be linked to other clubs, I’m here to do a job for Widnes, and I am immensely proud to be captain of this team.”
