Huddersfield Giants playmaker Danny Brough is hoping that plenty of fans turn out to watch his team in action against the Catalans Dragons this weekend.

The Giants meet the French outfit on Sunday lunchtime, opening proceedings on the second day of the event. The two teams have never met at

Although ticket sales have been good, Brough is keeping his fingers crossed that a good quantity of fans will be in the stands for kick-off at 1pm.

“I’m hoping that we can have some other teams come and support us!” he quipped, speaking at the Magic Weekend launch.

“Because they [Catalans] don’t bring any, and we don’t have many!”

Regardless of the numbers Brough expects to be watching the game, he does anticipate an entertaining clash with the team who gave Wigan such a hammering last week.

“It’ll probably be a tough game after that result they’ve had last week,” the Scotland international added.

“They throw the ball around pretty well, and score tries on the edges, so there’s stuff we’ll have to look at this week.

“Hopefully it’s a decent game to watch.

“We ground out a tough win at Castleford, and obviously they [Catalans] beat Wigan convincingly, so we’ll be hoping that it’s a tough game and we come out on top.”
