Broncos skipper Slyney sidelined by surgery

London Broncos have confirmed that co-captain Nick Slyney will be out of action for two to three months.

This is due to the back rower undergoing surgery to repair his pectoral muscle, which was damaged in the weekend defeat at Leigh.

“It’s disappointing to lose a quality player in our co-captain for this period, however it gives an opportunity to one of our young London kids to step up,” said Broncos interim coach Andrew Henderson.

“I will be evaluating the squad in the coming weeks and strengthening areas within the squad where needed. Hopefully Glenn Riley will be returning from injury soon to add some experience to the pack.”
