Broncos go on team building trip

London Broncos are spending the week on a team-building trip in Brecon, South Wales ahead of this month’s pre-season games against Catalan and London Skolars.

The re-branded club, who were known as Harlequins from 2006 until the end of last season, haven’t yet revealed their full squad for the new season, which kicks off in three weeks.

However, coach Rob Powell has a number of new faces in his line-up, and he is hoping that the camp will help bring the squad closer together.

He said: “With the number of new players that have been recruited we are trying to make the squad as tight as possible.

“The activity’s laid on will give the players a great opportunity to work together, building trust and confidence between them. We did a similar thing last season down in Portsmouth with the Royal Navy which was a great success and we hope to have the same effect this time around.”

The squad will be linking up with the Royal Navy at the camp and take part in a series of activities aimed at improving team performance.
