Oxford have signed young London Broncos three-quarter Chima Odum.

Odum, 19, is yet to make a first grade appearance, but has turned out for the Broncos Under 19s side.

He said: “I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to play for Oxford rugby league, the season will be a physical test and it is one I look forward to, I also look forward to developing as a player here at Oxford rugby league under the experience of Tony Benson and his coaching staff.”

Odum has previously played for South London Storm and has representative honours with London and Southeast Colleges.

Oxford coach Tony Benson said: “Chima has played with the London Broncos Academy and is a really athletic lad who can play centre or wing. He’s very quick with some experience behind him and I’m looking forward to seeing how he comes on this year with us.”
