Briers suffers calf tear

Lee Briers‘ return to action has been further delayed after scans revealed a tear on his calf.

Briers, 34, had only just resumed training having missed 10 rounds of Super League with a neck injury when the calf problem flared up.

The Wolves had hoped to bring him back for Sunday’s Challenge Cup tie at Keighley, but he is now targeting a return in their fifth round match, scheduled for the weekend of May 12.

He is definitely out of this weekend’s clash against Bradford.
