Briers injury doubt for Warrington

Lee Briers could miss the Magic Weekend at Murrayfield after suffering a hamstring injury in yesterday’s win over Huddersfield.

Briers, 30, limped off after 66 minutes of the 40-18 win at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, and he is now a doubt for the Wolves’ clash with Hull KR.

Head Coach Tony Smith said: “We think Lee has tweaked his hamstring a little bit which is a blow.

“Without being exceptional today – I’ve seen him play a couple of exceptional games recently – I thought he was pretty good.

“A couple of kicks weren’t to the standard that Lee would usually come up with but he bossed the game in the first half.”
