Chris Bridge is looking forward to beginning a new stage of his career with the Widnes Vikings next season.

It was confirmed today that the utility back will be leaving the Halliwell Jones Stadium to join the Chemics on a two-year deal next season.

He is particularly looking forward to linking up with talent like highly rated stand-off Kevin Brown at his new club.

But he remains fully commited to the Wolves in the meantime.

“I am really looking forward to playing for Widnes Vikings,” he said.

“I’ve spoken to Denis Betts and to Brett Hodgson and I am looking forward to the new challenge.

“It will be great to play alongside Kevin Brown and Rhys Hanbury and it sounds like there are some exciting plans to mix things up a bit next year. From what I’ve seen the style of play will suit me.

“The centres seem to get a lot of ball so I am looking forward to getting stuck in.

“I am fully committed to Warrington Wolves for the rest of this year. I am working hard to get back to 100% so I can make a big contribution in the games we have got left.

“I am hoping to go out with a bang after 10 seasons with the club and I am hoping to get a couple more winners medals before I start my new and exciting challenge with Widnes Vikings.”
