North Wales have signed prop Brad Brennan from Barrow.

Brennan, 24, came through the academy ranks at Warrington spent the end of last season on loan at Coventry Bears.

He said: “I’ve been playing against the Crusaders for a few years, and I know just how good they are.

“It seems like a great club, with very loud and passionate supporters so it will be good to play in front of them.

“I had to go on loan for part of last season because work commitments meant that I couldn’t travel to Barrow.

“I’m now looking forward to next season and I’m happy to be here.”

Brennan, who counts Batley, Hunslet and York amongst his former clubs, played eight times off the bench for the Raiders in what turned out to be a promotion winning season.

He went on to feature 10 times for Coventry, scoring two tries.

Coach Mike Grady added: “I’m really pleased to have added Brad to the squad for 2018.

“He caused us a lot of problems when we came up against Barrow and Coventry last season, and it will be nice having him with us instead of against us.

“Brad is a tough, no nonsense forward who will add quality and experience to our side.”
