Bradford wait on pledge total

Bradford won’t be making an announcement about their quest for survival during tonight’s game against Leeds.

There had been speculation that they would reveal if they had been successful in reaching the target of £500,000 at the match at Odsal, which was needed to be raised by 5pm today.

But Bulls chief executive Ryan Duckett has confirmed that the club will announce the total pledge figure at 11.30am tomorrow (Saturday).

He said: “We had brilliant response to our auction last night and our ticket office is still very busy busy receiving Pledges and selling tickets for tonight’s match against Leeds.

“To allow us to process all of the Pledges and reconcile the receipts from tonight’s match, we will not be making any announcement until approximately 11.30am tomorrow.”

After Thursday night’s auction, which included Jamie Peacock selling his Grand Final winners ring and shirt for £7,000, the pledge total had hit the £370,000 mark.
