Bradford take Wood on loan

Bradford have signed second-rower Mikey Wood from Huddersfield on a season-long loan.

Wood, 21, has had spells in the Championship with Halifax and Oldham, and bolsters the Bulls squad for their 2018 campaign in League 1.

He said: “The deal came around through my agent, he gave me a call and said that Bradford were interested and I was more than happy to take up the deal. They are a huge club and I can’t wait to be a part of them.

“I just want to do my best and give everything that I can back to the Bulls. When a club puts faith in you like that you have to give everything you can in return.

“I feel like it would be a massive stepping stone in my career. Bradford have got a huge name and I feel like they have got a lot to offer.”

Wood made his Super League debut for the Giants in 2016 against Castleford, and has also played for England Academy.
