Bradford have signed three youngsters from Warrington on four week loan deals.

Italy international James Saltonstall, Joe Philbin and Tom Walker have begun training with Francis Cummins’ first team squad, and are all in line to feature in the Bulls’ pre-season games against Hull (Jan 19), Dewsbury (Jan 26) and Castleford (Feb 2).

Cummins said: “We are delighted to have James, Joe and Tom on board.

“I expect them all to feature over the coming weeks, as we step up preparations ahead of the new season.

“And they will be training alongside our first-team players, building their experience and further improving their skills.

“As a trio they certainly bolster our squad in terms of numbers and their enthusiasm, I am certain, will be clear from the outset.

“Though young, they arrive with bags of ability and potential for the future.”

Cumbrian prop Walker, 19, joined the Wolves academy from Workington and has played for England Academy, while Philbin, also 19, plays in the second row and played for local clubs Culcheth Eagles and Latchford Albion.

Versatile Saltonstall, 20, was part of the Italy squad for the World Cup, and played on the wing in the shock 15-14 win over England on the eve of the tournament.
