Bradford have dismissed a member of staff who tweeted a photo of a Bulls shirt with “We 8 Rhinos” printed on the back.
The tweet caused controversy in a Twitter exchange with the official Leeds Rhinos account via the staff member’s personal account, which included his job role in its profile.
A Bulls statement read: “The Directors of Bradford Bulls take their responsibilities to the club, the supporters and to the game of Rugby League very seriously.
“We will not tolerate any member of our Senior Management bringing the club or the game into disrepute through the use of Social Media and the wider press.
“To this end we have terminated the contract of one our Senior Managers with immediate effect and apologise for any offence caused through his actions.”
