Bradford stay top

Bradford have held on to top spot in the Championship Shield with victory over Dewsbury while Swinton, Halifax and Sheffield have all claimed wins today.

The Bulls defeated the Rams 36-26, after taking a narrow 18-14 lead into half-time. They remain top of the Shield table, seven points head of Halifax.

Swinton secured a 19-12 result against Workington Town in the battle against relegation.

Halifax broke its losing run with a comfortable 30-10 win over relegation-threatened Whitehaven. The two Cumbrian clubs are on the bottom of the table, both with 13 points.

While Sheffield were too strong for Oldham, running out 54-24 victors at Bower Fold. The Roughyeds sit five points above Workington.
