Bradford have signed former London halfback Joe Keyes on a three-year deal.

The England Academy player and Ireland international joins the Bulls until 2019.

Keyes recently left London Broncos having been with the club since he was 12-years-old. He progressed through the youth system before making his Super League debut for the Broncos as an 18-year-old in 2014 against Widnes Vikings.

The 20-year-old featured for the England Academy in 2014 before playing for Ireland in the European Cup last year, and is now looking forward to his future up north.

“It is a massive club and I’ve never been anywhere other than London, so to come to a place like Bradford is really exciting for me,” Keyes said.

“I know a few of the boys here and they’ll help me settle in and hopefully I can get into training this week and rip in.

“I feel like I’ve got a lot to offer and I don’t think I’ve shown everyone what I’m capable of yet, so I’m hoping to find a bit of form, give 100% as I always do and get stuck in.

“It’s good to have a bit of stability for the next few years and I’m looking forward to working with Rohan over the next few seasons.”

Bulls coach Rohan Smith is pleased to have brought Keyes to the club.

“He is a player who has performed well in Super League in the past and a young talent on his way up in the game and we’re grateful to have him here,” he said.

“Joe is a guy who wants to advance his career and we want to give him that opportunity. He is a traditional style halfback and definitely one to help us down the line.”
