Bradford have confirmed the signing of Toronto front-rower Olsi Krasniqi on a one-month loan deal.

The 26-year-old, who was born in Albania, brings Super League experience to the Bulls, having enjoyed spells at London Broncos and Salford Red Devils, prior to his move to the Wolfpack in 2018.

Krasniqi is in contention to make his Bradford bow in Friday’s trip to Sheffield Eagles.

On signing Krasniqi, Bradford coach John Kear commented: “We obviously lost Ross [Peltier], Callum Bustin and Oliver Wilson in pre-season so when the opportunity came to move for Olsi we did so straight away.

“He is very athletic and very quick and with over 100 games in Super League under his belt, I think he will be a really good addition to the squad.

“Obviously he has experience at the higher level, but he played in the Championship last season with Toronto and he knows how tough it is and what is required to win games in this division.

“He knows what it is like to play for a big team and be hunted when opposing teams play us it is a big occasion for them, but he will be used to that.

“Ultimately, it is to reinforce our squad and make sure we have the correct amount of players to cope with the demands of Championship rugby.”
