The RFL have confirmed that Bradford Bulls coach James Lowes has been fined for misconduct.

Lowes was hit with the £250 fine following remarks made about the match referee after his team’s game against Sheffield Eagles at the Keepmoat Stadium on February 12.

Also, the suspended fine of £250 which was imposed upon Lowes earlier this season for a similar offence has now been invoked in full.

An RFL statement reads:

“Mr Lowes was deemed to be in breach of Operational Rule D1.1 (b) (Improper Conduct) by engaging in conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game; Operational Rule C2.8  (criticism of officials); and the RFL Respect Policy.

“Mr Lowes has also been warned as to his future behaviour.”
