Bradford Bulls 44-18 Harlequins

A hat trick from Lesley Vainikolo helped Bradford ease to a comfortable 44-18 win over Harlequins.

The Bulls led 22-0 at the break, with Joe Vagana and Paul Deacon scoring late tries to two Vainikolo efforts earlier on.

It was those two efforts within the last three minutes of the half that cost the Quins, who had managed to hold the Bulls to 12-0 up to that point, thanks to the sterling defence that served them so well last week at Warrington.

The game was effectively sealed eight minutes in to the second half when Glenn Morrison crossed the line, before Ian Henderson's four pointer stretched the advantage to 34-0.

But Quins hit back with two well taken tries from Jon Wells and Chad Randall, before Vainikolo completed his hat trick. Paul Sykes added a third try for Quins before Richie Hawkyard scored his first try for the Bradford first team to wrap up the points.

It was a good effort by the Quins in the second half, only going down 22-18, but it was the first half burst from the Bulls that proved decisive, as they maintained the pressure on Leeds and Saints at the top.
