New South Wales head coach Brad Fittler has confirmed Boyd Cordner will feature in his side to face Queensland.
The Sydney Roosters captain has been under pressure recently as his side has fallen to 7th place in the NRL ladder, with six wins in 12.
However, Fittler has confirmed he will be picking the Australian-vice captain for his side set to face Kevin Walter’s Maroons.
“Yeah, Boyd will be in the team. If I were to pick anyone at the moment, barring injury, it would be Boyd Cordner,” said Fittler.
The former half-back is set to announce his full squad in four days, with State of Origin I to be played Wednesday 6th June at Melbourne’s Cricket Ground.
