Doncaster prop Jamie Bovill has been handed a five match ban after committing two offences in the recent league clash against Rochdale.

Bovill received a three match ban after he was found guilty of committing a Grade C offence for making dangerous contact in the third minute of the game in which he used his body forcefully to twist, bend or otherwise apply pressure to the limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury.

Bovill then received a further two match ban for a second Grade C offence for reckless use of the forearm in possession of the ball in the 65th minute of the same game. He was also fined £50 after the RFL Disciplinary Committee ruled he had behaved in a manner contrary to the spirit of the game

York City Knights prop Nathan Freer received a one match ban after he was found guilty of committing a Grade A offence for punching in the 45th minute of his side’s Co-operative Championship clash with Widnes Vikings.

Freer, who pleaded guilty to the offence, was also fined £50 by the RFL Disciplinary Committee.
