Blagborough commits to Eagles

Sheffield Eagles have confirmed that prop Jack Blagborough has agreed a new deal at the club.

The 21-year-old was previously with Huddersfield, and spent some time at York on loan in 2015.

“Jack is a young man who continues to get better and we think very highly of him here,” Eagles coach Mark Aston told his club’s official website.

“He did well at York last season and gained some valuable experience which has served him well. We think he has the tools here to develop and we are delighted that he has agreed to stay.

“I think the experience at York was good for Jack. He will have learned a lot, and if the circumstances are right then we wouldn’t be against allowing him to go out and gain similar experience next year.

“We will be working hard with him on an individual basis because we feel there is plenty to work with there, he is someone that we really believe in.”
