Bishay in line for Broncos debut at Magic Weekend

Half-back Mike Bishay is set to make his Super League debut at the weekend when London Broncos take on Catalan Dragons.

The teams meet at the Etihad Stadium as part of Magic Weekend and the youngster is expected to make his Broncos bow.

Bishay, 20, has spent most of the season playing on dual-registration with Championship One side Hemel Stags but has been training with the London first team recently.

He said: “It will be brilliant if I make my debut. It will be such a good experience. I’ve watched the Magic Weekend quite a few times and I’ve always wanted to play there.

“I’ve been training for the last year and a half full-time but it’s been worth the wait. I’ve just got to wait for my chance to come and hopefully take it with both hands.”

The Broncos’ clash with Catalan Dragons kicks off the action at Magic Weekend at midday on Saturday.
