Betts set for England role

Widnes coach Denis Betts is set to be named as an assistant coach with England.

New England coach Wayne Bennett has yet to name his full coaching staff. Betts has previously voiced his interest in a role on Bennett’s staff.

It is believed Betts will join the England set-up for the Four Nations and 2017 World Cup, while remaining as head coach coach of the Vikings.

The former England international has also signed a new contract extension with Widnes.

A confirmation announcement is expected soon.
