Hull Kingston Rovers forward, Richard Beaumont will join St Helens at the end of the season.

The 25 year-old prop forward has signed a two year contract with Nathan Brown’s side.

“Richard showed a lot of potential coming through the system at Hull KR and will be a real asset to us next season,” Brown said.

“He possesses a lot of size and will bring some real go forward to our pack. At 25 he is still developing too and we are looking forward to seeing that at Langtree Park.”

Beaumont is a product of the Robins youth development programme and made his Super League debut against Harlequins in 2011.

Saints have already recruited Penrith duo, Luke Walsh and Mose Masoe for next season but winger, Francis Meli is Salford bound.

“We’re delighted to secure Richard’s signing. He will be a welcome addition to our forward line that has not only gained more experience during the course of 2013 but has been bolstered ahead of 2014,” added Chairman, Eamon McManus.

“We’re sure that under the tutelage of Nathan Brown has his coaching staff Richard will do well for the club and we are looking forward to having him on board.”
