Beattie: Morale high in Bulls’ camp

Lee Beattie says Bradford’s confidence is high ahead of Saturday’s Championship game at Toulouse.

The Bulls have taken advantage of a week without a fixture to prepare for their trip to France, with Beattie utilising the break to give his squad some much-needed recovery time.

Bradford defeated Toulouse 29-22 when the teams met at the Provident Stadium back in February, but the French outfit have developed into a strong squad since then and currently sit second in the table.

“We are fully aware that they will be tough to beat as they are a huge side, they have strong outside backs that carry strong, and an even bigger pack – they will provide a tough game for us this week,” Beattie told the club’s official website.

“We have watched footage on their key players and we know what their strengths are, we just need to put into practice what we have revised to get the better of them again.

“The break has come at a good time for us, we were able to rest some bodies. We have done plenty on the field and that lack of impact in games has enabled them to recharge their bodies a bit.

“Moral in the camp is high. The Easter period was a tough time for the boys, there was plenty of busted lads and you could see that the effort was there, we just didn’t have enough power to push us through. That’s why this break came at such a great time.

“The boys have been positive and very upbeat, we had plenty of stuff to work on. We now have the opportunity to put it all of our hard work into practice.”
