Batley have signed Rochdale half-back Danny Yates for the 2019 season.
The 24-year-old has been with the Hornets since 2015 and played a key role in their promotion to the Championship.
Yates won the 2016 League 1 Young Player of the Year award and has been a consistent performer in the Championship order for the last two years.
On the signing of Yates, Bulldogs’ coach Matt Diskin said: “We’re delighted to have Danny joining the squad for next season.
“He is a player we have admired for some time.”
It follows on from the capture of French half-back Louis Jouffret last week.
Diskin added: “We’re really pleased with how things are building for next season. Louis and Danny joining shows we’re adding extra quality and experience to an already impressive group as we look to have the best options in all positions.”
