Batley centre quashes exit rumours

Batley centre Danny Maun has quashed speculation linking him with a move away from Mount Pleasant.

Maun, 28, is set to start in tonight’s televised clash with Halifax as the Bulldogs look to pick up valuable points in their fight against relegation.

Rumours had surfaced that he had signed for another club for 2010, but he told the official club website those rumours were wide of the mark.

He said: “I’m 100% committed to Batley and though I will show that (in my performances), I just want to assure fans that my mind is on our remaining games and not elsewhere”.

Batley-born Maun has previously played for Featherstone and Dewsbury having come through the ranks at Wigan.
