Batley Bulldogs revealed that two of their players have left for pastures new – one permanently one temporary.

Gareth Frodsham, 22, formerly of St Helens, has been released from his contract after being offered a coaching role in the USA. An official statement on the Batley website thanked Gareth for his efforts during his time at Mount Pleasant and wished him well for his future.

Elsewhere, half-back Tom Henderson, 20, has joined Championship rivals Hunslet Hawks on a one-month loan deal.

Chief Executive Paul Harrison commented: “Tom has had limited first-team opportunities recently and a short-term move to Hunslet is beneficial for all parties and will allow him valuable game-time”.
