Barthau makes Dewsbury switch

Championship club Dewsbury have signed France international William Barthau on a dual-registration from Catalan Dragons.

The 21-year-old half-back, who played for France against England in both 2009 and 2010, made seven appearances in Engage Super League last season but has yet to figure in coach Trent Robinson’s line-up this year.

“William is a very good youngster and is very highly thought of at the Catalans,” said Dewsbury coach Warren Jowitt, who worked with Barthau during his stint as French assistant coach last year.
