Barrow hooker Nathan Mossop has been granted a 12-month testimonial by the Rugby Football League in 2022.

Mossop enters his 13th season with Barrow Raiders in 2022 as the club prepare for life back in the Championship following their promotion from League 1.

He was ever-present for head coach Paul Crarey in the 2021 League 1 campaign. He signed again for the upcoming Championship season, and will wear the number nine shirt in 2022.

Mossop’s testimonial will start in February, while he also says that he will be making a donation to Dementia UK following the end of his testimonial.

Nathan Mossop shared news on social media

Mossop shared on social media: “Just before Christmas, I was fortunate enough to be granted a 12 month testimonial by the RFL, which I will officially start on the 1st of February 2022.

“This season will be my 13th season at Barrow since signing for the club in 2009. Over the years, I have had some amazing times where I’ve been lucky enough to share those moments with some great friends and the best fans in the sport.

“The 2022 season will be a tough one, but one we as a club are really looking forward to. Over the next 12 months, my focus will be on helping the team be as successful as we can be.

“I’m hoping you can join me in supporting my testimonial too. There will be a number of events between now and February 2023 and I’m excited to share these with you all very soon.

“At the end of my testimonial, I will be making a donation to Dementia UK, which is a charity that I hold very closely to my heart.

“Here’s to an exciting 2022 season for the club.”
