Barrow part company with Wright

Correspondent

Barrow have today anounced that they have parted company with coach Nigel Wright after just four months of his contract.

It is strongly suggested that Dave Clark is set to take over the reigns of the South Cumbrian outfit for an incredible fourth time.

Wright’s departure makes him the sixth coach to leave Barrow in just four years after Paul Crarey, Dave Clark, Steve Deakin, Steve McCormack and Garry Schofield were all shown the door.

Chairman Des Johnston has earnt himself a ruthless reputation during his time at Barrow by yielding the axe on more coaches than any other club in recent years.

We can also report that assistant coach and conditioner Martin Clawson has also parted company with the Raiders.

It is understood that Dave Clark is to take over the role and rumours abound that verteran full back Gary Broadbent will be appointed as Clark’s assistant.
